#1 Worst Enemy of Kratom is Moisture

What do you think is the most horrible adversary of kratom? Something that can attack and destroy your kratom stash?

Aside from government regulations and Big Pharma persecution, the primary foe of kratom is MOISTURE.

WARNING: Moist, wet, damp kratom can develop mold. Mold can make you very sick and even in need of immediate hospitalization. NEVER consume moldy kratom or kratom that has been in the same container as moldy kratom.

Mold will appear as white, brown, or black splotches. Or it can look like it has a web-like or cotton candy type structure. Mildew, little white droplets, is another dampness-related problem to avoid by keeping your kratom as dry and sealed off from the air as possible. Mold can develop mycotoxins that are very harmful to your health, and can even result in death.

Assuming that the kratom you buy is 3rd party lab tested and certified to be free from contaminants, salmonella, botulism, etc., the main thing you need to worry about is keeping your kratom dry, especially if you stock up on large quantities.

You don’t want to waste the money you spend on kratom. So you need to keep your stash of kratom in a cool, dark, and dry place. Many people store their kratom in a kitchen pantry next to the household spices, or they keep it in a medicine cabinet. Be sure to keep sunlight, water, and excessive heat away from your kratom.

You can keep your kratom in the packages they were sold in. Or you can remove the kratom from its packaging and carefully pour it into amber glass canning jars with airtight rubber seals on the lids. These types of jars are easy to find inexpensively at Walmart and other retailers.

Don’t leave your kratom out, exposed to air, sunlight, and atmospheric humidity. Kratom left out will oxidize, which will damage the plant cells and degrade the quality of your kratom. Kratom that’s exposed can also collect moisture from the air.

Experienced kratom users tend to keep their kratom stored in airtight, dark glass jars. They keep their kratom stash far away from damp environments and areas that fluctuate in temperature. A steady, even coolness is ideal for kratom storage.

Since it’s good to rotate your different kratom strains, to avoid developing a tolerance to a specific alkaloid profile. By using these durable, protective glass jars to store your various kratom strains, you’ll have a good way to facilitate easy access to each strain. You can gently peel off the product sticker from the packaging of each strain product, or cut it out with scissors, and then Scotch tape the identifying label to the jar. This is a great way to display and keep track of your collection of strains.

When you use a spoon to remove some kratom powder from your glass canning jar, be sure to wipe the spoon completely dry before inserting it back into the dry powder for another spoonful. You don’t want to transport saliva from your mouth into your kratom, thereby contaminating it with unwanted moisture.

Mold. That’s what moisture in your kratom results in. And that’s, as mentioned before, is a bad thing. I It cannot be stressed enough that moldy, mildewy, contaminated kratom (or cannabis or other herbs) can be very dangerous to your health. People have developed serious infections from mold. You will want to avoid mold with extreme diligence and refuse to consume any moldy kratom.

Experts insist that if you have even just a small amount of mold in a big jar of kratom, you should get rid of all that jar’s contents, not try to salvage some of it.

By defending your kratom from its #1 enemy, moisture/mold, you’ll be protecting your financial investment and enjoying better health.
